Single-exposure PBI dark-field paper published!

We have published a new paper in Optics Letters, which tells the story of how we used the high-flux source at the Imaging and Medical Beamline at the Australian Synchrotron (IMBL), together with its crystal monochromator, to achieve a bichromatic beam, and to separately but simultaneously image the two energies using the Eiger2 photon-counting detector. While there are challenges with charge-sharing that make this a little rough around the edges, it opens up a whole bunch of possibilities! Huge thank you to Chris Hall for his enthusiasm for the idea, and for partnering on the project.

With the new technique, we then applied the algorithm from my previous paper to do some quite nice (propagation-based!) dynamic dark-field imaging. Check out this video of a dissolving Berocca tablet:
